What is Burnie's Way?
Burnie’s Way is a subscription-based personal concierge service designed to help older adults live safely and independently at home. We help support them doing the things they love and living the way they want to live. Consider us a sherpa - an expert guide on how to live at home safely and make life easier for all involved. Our approach is built from nearly 50 years of caregiving experience with our own family so we are guided by one simple principle: treat every family like our own. That’s Burnie’s Way.

Who do you help?
We are here to help support adult children and their aging parents. They are the "Sandwich Generation" trying to balance work, kids, and caring for their aging parents — often from afar. They worry about having the time to give their parent(s) the attention needed to ensure they aren't lonely or lacking support.
We also work directly with elderly adults who want to live at home versus go into a retirement community or assisted living complex. They value independence and being in control of their lives, but need connection and support to remain safe and thriving.

What services do you offer?
Our services focus on making sure aging seniors have what they need. We have a personal support team that makes sure the bases are covered for living at home. Depending on your plan, we can:
- Conduct virtual check-ins
- Manage schedule and activities
- Coordinate rides and transportation
- Order and deliver groceries
- Monitor safety and wellness
- Provide family communication updates
- Deliver prescriptions
- Send medicine reminders
In the future, our services will be expanding to safety assessments, prepared meals, legal and finance support, and connected home integrations with the latest technology to keep seniors safe at home. And so much more!

What services do you not provide?
We do not provide any in-home services such as helping with activities of daily life and administering medicines.

Do you provide hands-on medical care?
Burnie’s Way is not a medical or home health agency. We do not provide in home care. We are a virtual personal concierge service focused on helping with the key facets of living safely and independently at home as Seniors age. Whether it be help going places, restocking the pantry, or managing activities and medicines, we are the virtual support they need to live more easily.

Do you come into the home?
No. We do things differently with a new way of providing support to seniors living at home. We do everything by phone or video so we are there for support but not actually disrupting their house. Our Mom and Dad didn't want someone in their house, imposing upon their way of doing things. They would fire everyone we hired! So, we learned. Consider us a virtual companion, events coordinator and personal assistant all wrapped into one.

What does it cost?
We have support packages ranging from $99/month to $799/month, depending on the level of support desired. Support packages are outlined on our Pricing website page.

Will you be expanding the services you offer?
Yes! We have plans in place to extend our personal support services quickly. Not only will we be adding in deeper support to our current areas of focus, but we will also expand our services to areas such as home monitoring, safety assessments, fall prevention, finance and legal help and so much more. As a family's needs evolve, we will be with them every step of the way.

Why was Burnie's Way created?
There are 13 million seniors living at home alone right now. This number will grow significantly over the next 10 years. There is not enough support to help them stay at home safely for as long as they want. Much of the stress falls on busy adult children who are caring for their own children too. Our Founder saw an opportunity to make life easier for others and to help keep seniors living the life they want, safely.

Who will be providing the support to our family?
Our Personal Support team is made up of seasoned professionals with years of caregiving experience in the healthcare industry. They have a passion for working with the elderly and lead with their hearts to provide compassionate support to their families. They are adept at listening and problem solving. You will get to know your personal team well - we hope you will consider them an extended part of your family!

Absolutely. We use enterprise-grade security and encryption to keep your information protected — both in motion and at rest. Our systems follow rigorous data protection standards to ensure your personal details remain safe and private.
We never sell or share your information. Your data stays encrypted and accessible only to authorized team members who need it to support your experience. Every measure is designed to give you and your family confidence that your information — and your peace of mind — are protected. -
What do you do with my data?
Your data is only available to you. We do not sell it or use it for advertising purposes. Your data is used only to provide and improve our service to you.

Only people you explicitly invite can access your family's information. We maintain sharing permissions for you and can modify or revoke access at any time, if you wish.
