A Tribute to Mom:
The Heart Behind Burnie's Way.

Burnie’s Way is more than a name; it’s a tribute to my mother, Burnie, who was a bright light to everyone she met. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel at home, never missing a detail—whether it was your favorite snack, a cherished memory, or exactly how you take your coffee. My family's journey with caregiving began early, welcoming our grandmother into our family home when I was ten, and continued as we supported my father through Parkinson’s and, later, cared for our mother after her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. When my mom needed care of her own, I realized just how vital it is to have support that is as genuine and personal as she always gave to others. Though Mom is no longer with us, her warmth and grace live on in everything we do. Naming our company after her is a promise: every client and family will receive the same kindness, dignity, and heartfelt attention that Burnie gave so freely.

This one's for you, Mom!

What We Learned From Mom: A Different Kind of Care.

Through caring for our own mom, we learned that true care isn’t just about meals, meds, and appointments—it’s about connection, purpose, and joy.

What mattered most to Mom was staying engaged with the people and activities that gave her life meaning. That’s why we built Burnie’s Way around honoring the whole person—preserving what they love and who they are.

We take the time to know your loved one’s story, routines, and relationships, creating a personalized playbook that helps them stay independent, connected, and thriving at home.

Because to us, your loved one isn’t a client. They’re family.
